Job summary

Main duties of the job

The main fundamentals of the role are to ensure all stock is maintained across both sites. To manage and monitor the efficient purchasing of drug inventory, to ensure minimal wastage whilst maintaining a reliable and effective service. To manage the progression of overdue orders and the timely collation and dissemination of information relating to drug supply problems. To provide support to the Specialist Technician in the sourcing of new or alternative product supply, the purchase of unlicensed medicines and to assist in the implementation of new drug contracts and policy changes. This is a challenging role, where we require an individual that is organised, composed, dynamic and has great attention to detail. Communication and interpersonal skills are vital in this role, having demanding conversations with suppliers is a daily task. This position is also a physically demanding role, lifting and handling heavy items is also a daily occurrence. This is a unique opportunity, where there is scope to really make the position your own.
