Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, organised Personal Assistant to the Director of Nursing  of Mental Health to join our exciting team working in the Mental Health Clinical Board.

The successful candidate will be working directly to the Director of Nursing for Mental Health and you will be a crucial point of contact, source of information and play a key support role in maintaining cross-organisational communication and scheduling.

You will work alongside the other PA’s within the Mental Health Clinical Board providing cover and support to the clinical board.

We are looking specifically for candidates who are motivated, approachable, have a positive attitude to their work and can contribute to an effective team. Previous experience in a health environment would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job

You should have a high standard of education with excellent typing and word processing skills including the use of Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook.

You will act as minute secretary for meetings including collation of paperwork and timely distribution prior to meetings.    You must be confident in collating information from various sources, producing papers on time and contributing to projects as required.

Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills are essential.

The work includes contact with staff, patients, UHB stakeholders, Police and external agencies. Excellent communication and inter person skills along with a professional and friendly approach is required. You will have a high regard for confidentiality.  With a busy workload you must be organised and a capable self-starter, able to work on your own initiative and prioritise tasks in order to cope with tight deadlines. Being able to adapt your working style and pace, you should be able to demonstrate experience in developing and maintaining administrative processes that meet governance requirements.
