Are you an experienced Social Care professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for making a meaningful difference?

The Talbot Group is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Person in Charge (PIC) to lead our disability service in Kildare. The PIC will have overall responsibility for the management of the service, ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care and support are delivered. You will lead and mentor a dedicated staff team, promote positive outcomes for the children we support, and ensure the service operates in line with HIQA standards, legislation and Talbot Group policies and procedures.

You will play a key role in ensuring that each child has choice and control in their lives, while supporting their wellbeing, independence, relationships and personal development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall management and leadership of the service
  • Leading, supporting and mentoring the staff team
  • Ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and regulations
  • Overseeing care plans, reviews and personal risk assessments
  • Supporting person-centred care and positive outcomes
  • Coordinating appointments with the multidisciplinary team
  • Working with families, advocates and other professionals
  • Managing complaints in line with organisational procedures
  • Staff supervision, appraisals and team meetings
  • Promoting a high quality of life for the children we support

What we’re looking for:

  • QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or a relevant Allied Healthcare discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ management or supervisory experience in Health or Social Care
  • Relevant Health or Social Care Management qualification, minimum Level 6
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
