An excellent opportunity has arisen for friendly, caring and motivated individuals to join the Trust as a Pathology Driver To provide a specimen collection service
Main duties of the job
- To provide a specimen collection service.
- To deliver to any location as required on a daily basis.
- To collect Pathology specimens from all service demand areas, including Hospitals, GP Surgeries and Clinics within the South Tees and Northallerton area.
- To deliver and collect post to all service demand areas, within the South Tees and Northallerton area.
- Collect and sort Pathology post in preparation for the designated established routes.
- On a daily basis, check the supplies required for each location, and maintain emergency stock levels.
- Deliver blood from Blood Bank (Transfusion Service) to all areas as required.
- To be a courteous and polite representative of the Division of Pathology.
- Ensure that the vehicle is in a road worthy condition.
- Check anti-freeze, tyres and overall condition of vehicles before first run of day.
- Maintain mileage and fuel records on a daily basis.
- To collect from the Logistics department, any supplies delivered, and deliver them to Central Sort supplies stores.
To assist all staff within Central Sort to store supplies received appropriately.
