The main duties of the role include planning, delivery, and evaluation of the University of Sunderland undergraduate paediatric curriculum for medical students.
Candidates must have a MBBS qualification (or equivalent). They should be able to work effectively as part of a team with both autonomous as well as delegated responsibilities. Prior involvement in undergraduate or other structured teaching is useful as the role involves beingable to take a lead in teaching and learning activities, ensuring effective time management, and having great organisational skills.
Good paediatric knowledge is essential, as well as good communication and interpersonal skills, and previous experience of working as a Doctor in an NHS setting. Successful candidates must have an interest in the specialty for which they are applying and be fully registered with the GMC.
