We welcome applications from newly qualified therapists and experienced Band 5 therapists who are looking for a new opportunity.  You will need to have a recognised Speech and Language therapy qualification, HCPC licence to practice and be a registered member of RCSLT.

The successful applicants will be confident to work independently, have proven team working and communication skills and sound knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic intervention relating to the caseload.  You will be supported to develop skills with working with bilingual clients as appropriate, to meet the needs of our diverse population in Bolton.

This is an exciting time to join Speech and Language Therapy services across Greater Manchester, as we move towards implementation of The Balanced System ®.  Bolton is a great place to work and this was noted in the 2024 SEND inspection, whereby Bolton achieved the highest possible grading for our system-wide partnership working for our children and young people with SEND.

You will be required to independently assess children using a wide range of informal and formal assessments; provide verbal and written advice; devise therapy programmes and be able to train parents and staff in different health and educational settings in the implementation of these.  In addition, you will also provide written advice which could be used towards Education and Health Care Plan (EHCPs) and EHCP annual reviews.
