About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a) to join the Paediatric Community Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team at James Paget Hospital. We are a specialist multi-disciplinary team, who are passionate about developing services and completing high quality and clinically rigorous assessments. We cover the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.

You will play a key role in our newly launched Neurodevelopmental (NDD) pathways, offering assessment, formulation, diagnosis and advice for children and young people with neurodiverse presentations, including Autism, ADHD, and associated developmental needs.

If you are passionate about improving the lives of neurodiverse children and their families and want to be part of an ambitious and developing service, we would love to hear from you.

This post could either be appointed as a Band 7 preceptorship working towards an 8a position, or at an 8a depending upon skills and experience. Responsibilities and supervision will be adjusted accordingly.

The post is funded for 30 hours (4 days) but there is a 7.5 (1 day) post available providing psychological input on the Neonatal ward in the James Paget Hospital that could be joined together with this post, providing a varied role and bringing the post to full time.
