Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a full-time Band 5 Overseas Visitor Patient Officer.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the Trust is compliant in all aspects of implementation, raising charges, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The post holder will provide a comprehensive efficient and effective overseas visitors service to users of the Trust’s services, working efficiently and effectively with patients, staff, and external organisations such as the UK Border Agency and Department of Health to maximise income recovery for NHS chargeable services provided.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring Trust policies and processes are continually reviewed and updated, maintaining accuracy and compliance with the Department of Health regulations - “Guidance on implementing the overseas visitors hospital charging regulations”.
The post holder will be proficient in their knowledge, understanding, and ability to provide advice, instruction, and training on the complex Department of Health Overseas Visitors guidance and in translating said guidance to policy for implementation across the Trust.
