Job overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Oral Health Practitioner to play a key role in delivering community outreach programmes in the London borough of  Redbridge including fluoride application and tooth brushing schemes across a wide variety of community settings, ensuring the focus remains firmly on quality and safety. You will act as an ambassador for the Service, promoting the highest standards of excellence in working practices.

You will lead  on ensuring outreach programmes are delivered to the highest standard and play an active role in the stakeholder engagement programmes to promote uptake of the schemes. You will be responsible for directing and supervising a team of Outreach Therapists and Extended Duties Dental Nurse  and support a cohesive team approach, developing and strengthening partnership working both internally and externally. As part of the role you will be expected to attend commissioner meetings where you will be expected to provide feedback and background to the activity reports submitted.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will need to be able to work in a very busy environment whilst remaining calm and be able to deliver the outreach programmes effectively through challenging situations, so the ability to work independently, proactively and under pressure is important. A positive attitude, excellent clinical skills and a commitment to best practice in clinical care and continued professional development is essential.

You will be required to travel around London to reach the communities we serve.
