An exciting opportunity awaits for a Band 3 Ophthalmic Technician to join our dedicated ophthalmology team at Falkirk Community Hospital. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to work in a dynamic and patient-focused environment.

As part of our team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ophthalmic care. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide technical and clinical support, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout their visit.

Who Would This Role Suit?This position is well-suited to individuals with experience working in an opticians or a healthcare setting, and who have a keen interest in eye health. If you are enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to delivering person-centred care, we would love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities will include:

Vision testing and intraocular pressure measurement using I Care tonometry.

Performing visual field examinations, OCT scans, and ophthalmic imaging techniques.

Assisting in the smooth running of clinics and supporting patients during their appointments.

The standard working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00 x 4 and 08:30-13:30 x . Flexibility is essential, and occasional weekend work may be required.
