We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and caring Anaesthetic Practitioners to come and join our team.

We offer a wide range of surgical specialties Ophthalmic, Orthopedics & Trauma, General surgery including Colorectal, Upper GI, Gynecology, Breast, ENT & Urology as well as providing 24-hour emergency surgery, Obstetrics & Critical care services for one of Europe’s and the UK’s fastest growing and most vibrant towns.

Applications from Undergraduate ODPs in their final year of training will be welcomed.

Main duties of the job

As a successful candidate you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of perioperative care programs. Our successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate the highest standards of Anaesthetic support.

You will provide high quality care for patients undergoing surgical intervention and skilled assistance  to  ensure the highest standard of patient safety.

You will work alongside Scrub and Recovery Practitioners supported by a brilliant support carer team, to ensure the patients path through the theatre suite is a safe and productive journey.

You will provide skilled assistance to the anaesthetist to enable safe maintenance of airway in both adult and paediatric services.

You will assist in patient positioning/preparation for elective and emergency procedures.

You will assist in the safe external transfer of patients requiring High dependency/ITU care at the identified receiving hospital.

Alongside our team of Senior ODPs , you will provide care for Adults and Children   as part of the trusts Cardiac Arrest/Major Trauma and Critical Care “Crash Teams”

Our Registered Theatre Practitioners will be expected to possess excellent communication and team working qualities with a willingness to learn new skills.

. We would welcome individuals who have an enthusiastic approach to teaching students and junior members of staff.
