Job overview

  • Coordination of day to day adult inpatient Occupational Therapy Service delivery to ensure effective consistent and equitable access to Occupational Therapy services.
  • To contribute to the development and evaluation of the Occupational therapy service within the care group and take a lead in aspects of service development
  • To work with Occupational Therapy Professional lead and Headed of Occupational Therapy to agree strategic professional action plans and implementation.
  • To provide Occupational Therapy advice to the MDT
  • To provide specialist Occupational Therapy input to the planning, development and evaluation of clinical services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
  • The post holder will offer specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to a case load of clients of complex needs. Assessments and interventions will identify barriers and support clients to achieving functional goals.
  • The post holder will contribute to the planning, development, provision and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy Services within the North View inpatient Division as well as taking a lead in aspects of audit, standard setting, research and development.

  • They will be responsible for the prioritisation of referrals for OT and the provision of an evidence-based OT service.
