The Occupational Therapy Service Manager post holder will be a key member of the Care Group F's Senior Leadership Team and will be accountable for the delivery of the care groups performance, financial, quality, safety, risk and patient experience performance. The post holder will be integral in both shaping and delivering the Care Group's strategy in conjunction with the Trust's overall strategies and objectives.
As the successful candidate, you will:
comprehensive and robust professional leadership, guidance, advice, support and direction to the Occupational
Therapy profession across their Care Group and the Trust, to ensure that patients are managed and cared for efficiently and effectively.
Full time: 37.5 hrs per week

Overview of Essential Responsibilities
Operational Management & Service Planning
a. To be responsible for transformational workforce review and programme ensuring that the workforce within the service meets the needs of the patients/demands within resources available.
b. To support the Associate Therapies Director, Senior Operations Manager and Associate Operations Director to immerse the Occupational Therapy Service in the business of the Care Group so that the service is designed to support effective patient care and flow across the Trust.

Accountable for providing support the development of an open and engaging culture for patients and staff that encourages excellence in clinical practice, facilitates team working and multi professional care delivery. They will also ensure teams adhere to Trust values and behaviours.
Be part of the Leadership team in the implementation of patient centred clinical operational strategy and plans, ensuring that systems and processes are in place to comply with relevant legislation and governance requirements, linking with external bodies such as commissioners about service developments, contracts and clinical care pathways whilst utilising the expertise and skills of the wider leadership and corporate teams. This includes accountability for the delivery of those clinical and clinical technical services within their area.
