Job overview

We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist to lead the dedicated occupational therapy workforce across our CAMHS Services. This is an exciting maternity cover (through to 10/2/26) opportunity for the right occupational therapist and leader to support the developmental of Occupational Therapy, support the workforce and contribute clinically to a caseload within Brighton & Hove CAMHS. This post is 50% professional leadership and 50% clinical contribution over 30 hours.

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provide children and young people's specialist mental health services across Sussex. Occupational Therapy staff contribute as part of multidisciplinary teams supporting young people: with learning disabilities; within our acute care pathway (including our in-patient unit, home treatment and hospital at home); in care (including community and secure care);  with an eating disorder and our wider community mental health services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder’s main duties will be to coordinate the occupational therapy service providing professional management, leadership and supervision to the occupational therapy service in CAMHS Sussex and to ensure that services are of a high quality and adhere to professional, national and local standards. In addition, to be able to have a key role in the development of the governance agenda by ensuring occupational therapy contribution to the provision of quality clinical care and performance standards. This post also incorporates clinical work to be able to support the assessment of, and therapy with, the young persons, consultation and support to their families / carers and multiagency teams.
