Job summary

We are delighted to offer a rare and exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Community Learning Disability Team in North and West Hampshire.

You will be part of a well-established Occupational Therapy team working within a dynamic, supportive, multidisciplinary team (MDT), delivering high-quality person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities in community settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist looking to develop their skills in a varied and rewarding role.

Location - North & West Hampshire

Base - Cromwell House, Winchester and Tatchbury Mount, Calmore.

Essential - Car driver and use of a car for work purposes

Main duties of the job

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

*Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support adults with learning disabilities.

*Carry out holistic assessments and interventions in community settings, including service users' homes and day services.

*Support individuals to develop and maintain independence and meaningful participation in daily activities.

*Mitigate the impact of learning disability and health needs on the service user's quality of life.

*Contribute to care planning and risk assessment processes.

*Work in partnership with carers, families, and external agencies.

*Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.

*Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development.

Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support.
