The role will work across both the General Adolescent Unit (GAU) and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The environment can be both challenging and exciting; experience working with this client group is desirable but not essential.  You will be based in Leeds but there will be expectations for you to occasionally travel within the trust for things such as training. The team provide a flexible service to meet the needs of the young people, including some evening and weekend hours.

This is a crucial role within a busy team, offering a range of therapeutic sessions, supporting engagement and helping to provide structure and routine to the wards. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with this client group.

Interviews are expected to take place the week commencing the 16.02.26.

Main duties of the job

This post would be an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in facilitating the delivery of therapeutic activity within an inpatient environment supporting young people on their recovery journey. The successful candidate would be supporting young people, identifying and engaging in meaningful activity, as part of a ward-based timetable supporting routine and structure.  We are looking for someone who has experience or knowledge in implementing fun and enjoyable activities with young people with complex needs.

We recruit people based on their values and qualifications (where required) and believe that their lived experience is an advantage, this means that together we are as diverse as the communities we care for.
