An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the East Sutherland Integrated Health and Social Care Team.
This post offers the opportunity for a highly motivated and confident Band 6 to join the team. The role offers experience across both ward and community settings, with a strong re-ablement focus.
Applicants must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health Professional Council and have a broad skill mix or the willingness to expand their skill set as required in a fully integrated Occupational Therapy setting.
Effective communication, organisational and time management skills are essential as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Based at the Lawson Memorial Hospital, Golspie, the successful candidate will be expected to work across our sister hospital in Bonar Bridge and the surrounding remote and rural community.
Regular supervision and support will be provided as will the opportunity to self-develop through the use of an annual appraisal and a personal development plan
The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and day to day workload management of Band 4 assistants. The department is keen to continue to support student placements.
A full UK driving licence is essential and a pool car will be available, however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.This is a permanent full-time post of 37 hours per week, worked in accordance with service requirements.
