Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Health Senior Nurse Lead to join the senior management team at Working Well, our SEQOHS-accredited NHS Occupational Health Service.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for providing strategic clinical leadership and professional accountability for all clinical activities within the occupational health team. You will work closely with the Service Director, who holds overall operational responsibility, and collaborate with Occupational Health Physicians, who oversee regulated medical governance.

Main duties of the job

Provide Clinical Leadership; to lead and inspire the clinical team within Working Well, offering clear direction and maintaining a visible and accessible clinical presence.  Acting as a role model for best practice and professional standards in occupational health.

Expert Clinical advisory role; to act as the senior clinical advisor within the service, providing expert guidance and support to other healthcare professionals based on your specialist knowledge and experience in occupational health.

Governance and Standards oversight; taking responsibility for the development, implementation, and review of clinical policies and procedures. Ensuring that Working Well’s standards and processes are robust, evidence-based, and consistently applied across all areas of service delivery.

Strategic Leadership contribution; as a member of the senior management team, contribute to the strategic planning, development, and future direction of the service. Provide clinical and professional input into service improvement initiatives, workforce planning, and operational decision-making.
