We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Nursing Associate to join our dedicated Urology Investigation Unit. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-facing environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is passionate about delivering safe, effective, and respectful care.

As a Nursing Associate in our Urology Investigation Unit, you will support patients undergoing diagnostic procedures and investigations, including flexible cystoscopy and urodynamics.

You will work closely with registered nurses, consultants, and healthcare assistants to ensure patients receive timely, dignified, and person-centred care. If you are a Registered Nursing Associate on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register with experience in an outpatient or procedural setting and a willingness to learn and contribute to developing our service, we will be able to offer you opportunities for ongoing professional development and career progression in an inclusive, supportive environment.

The aim of the role is to work as part of the multidisciplinary team to contribute to the specialist nursing service within the Urology Investigation Unit.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking and recording comprehensive nursing care to a diverse group of patients. They will be required to communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, and to manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary.

The post holder will be a key member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and will work collaboratively with the team leader to contribute to a learning environment that promotes excellence in the Urology Investigation Unit at MKUH.

Main duties and responsibilities

Clinical

  • Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional) with a focus on promoting health and independence. •    Have appropriate attitudes and behaviors compatible with NHS and Trust values.
