We are looking for a qualified Nursing Associate to join our dedicated and experienced team in the Emergency Department (ED) at Sheffield Children's Hospital.

You will work with our multi-professional team and Registered Nurses to assess, plan, and deliver high-quality clinical care that meets the needs of our patients and service. Your contribution will help provide compassionate, person-centred care tailored to each young person.

Sheffield Children's is home to one of the country's leading Emergency Departments, recognised for the quality and timeliness of the care we provide. You'll join a supportive team within our ED and Acute Assessment Unit, where innovation and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.

About You:

  • You are a registered Nursing Associate (NMC) with a Foundation Degree.
  • You have a genuine interest in supporting children and young people, working in partnership with families and professionals.
  • You are confident working within the nursing process and understand your professional scope and responsibilities.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Ward/Department Manager , your responsibilities will include:

  • Support assessments, care planning, and interventions tailored to each young person.
  • Help implement individualised care plans and contribute to team formulations.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and service development activities.
  • Maintain high professional standards and make evidence-based decisions within your scope of practice.

Please note that Sheffield Children's uplift pay to meet the Real Living Wage, which is £12.60 per hour.
