The Nightingale breast unit houses several key services that facilitate a fully integrated ‘onestop’ diagnostic pathway by offering a state of the art diagnostic and treatment service to women and men with breast diseases. The service aims to provide a high quality safe and supportive environment in order to care for patients diagnosed with breast cancer or benign disease, meeting the identified physical and psychological needs. We are looking to appoint 1 x Band 4 Nursing Associate Registrant who is enthusiastic, motivated, flexible, dynamic and passionate. This clinical role involves providing holistic nursing care in both our Consultant and nurse led clinics, knowledge of breast care is therefore desirable. The successful candidate will be part of a team of clinical breast nurses who are central to the delivery of high levels of patient care within the multiple breast clinics which also includes facilitating aseptic procedures within a radiological setting. You will also be expected to manage our daily dressings clinic, assessing and implementing care plans, therefore knowledge of acute and chronic wounds is essential. You must have the ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure, work within a large multi-disciplinary team. You would also be expected to work flexible hours covering evening Clinics and weekend work.
A calm, diplomatic and caring approach is necessary and you must have the ability to deal with the varied and challenging demands of the unit.
Manage Nurse Led Clinics which involve Complex dressings clinics, Blood clinics.
Managing staff workloads, delegating tasks.
Co-ordinating clinics.
Assisting with asceptic procedures within clinics and radiology
Problem solving.
