Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a number of Nursing Assistants - Immunisations within our Immunisation team in the Children & Families Health Team based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
Hours:
This post is offered on a fixed term contract from Monday 14th September 26 until Friday 27th November 26.
Hours of work will be a minimum of 20 hours – Maximum of 27.5 hours. Monday – Friday 0900-1300 or 0900-1500 dependent on School size.
Annual leave week 12th-16th October.
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
UK Driving Licence:
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What you will do:
As part of the School Immunisation team you will assist with various duties, setting up equipment prior to session commencing. As well as supporting the children before and after vaccination. Stock monitoring of the equipment bags at the end. You will support the delivery of the Flu Immunisation Programmes, within Primary Schools throughout the 3 localities within Ayrshire, working under direct supervision of the Band 5 staff immunisation nurses.
