Job summary

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be working as part of a team of highly skilled oncology nurse practitioners and the wider multi-disciplinary team member to deliver timely care to our patients.

The successful candidate will support the timely assessments of patients, gaining experience in triaging, patient flow as well as carrying out interventions.

The successful candidate will support the Oncology and Haematology helpline, providing a role in triage. Co-ordinate patient flow, working with the wards, management team and the LTHT operations centre.

Effective communication will be demonstrated at all times, liaising closely with other health professionals and departments ensuring patients and relatives are kept informed.

Will support wards and departments across the Oncology CSU out of hours.
