Job overview

Are you an enthusiastic dietitian, looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting new role working with trauma and neuro rehabilitation patients. The role of the Highly Specialist Dietitian will be a key part of the interdisciplinary team. You will take the lead on the nutritional care of the patients at the NRC, providing tailored advice for both oral and enteral nutritional support.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop both your clinical and leadership skills, as you will lead on the dietetic service setup and delivery at the NRC. You will therefore have applicable experience of leadership and service development that you can bring into the role. You will be working alongside a Band 6 dietitian and will be responsible for their support and development.

You will be leading on audit, service evaluation and service improvement projects related to improving nutritional care of our rehabilitation patients.

You will require excellent communication skills, strong leadership, a flexible approach, ability to use your initiative and manage your own time.

The NRC is a new, purpose-built 70-bed facility on the Stanford Hall Rehabilitation Estate near Loughborough, delivering a centre of excellence to improve rehabilitation services in England. It is co-located with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and will share some of the world class rehabilitation facilities. Find out more at www.nationalrehabilitationcentre.nhs.uk
