There is significant emphasis on multi-disciplinary working and the ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team. You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans which ensure delivery of holistic, evidence based care, prioritising communication, informed consent and relationship building. You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
Working as a newly qualified midwife you will be supported to grow your confidence, knowledge and skills alongside your preceptoship programme.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
