Job overview

We are seeking a Neuroradiology Assistant who will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, working at both James Cook and the local areas Community Diagnostic Centres, demonstrating a range of skills to meet the needs of the patient in a safe, caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy and respect under appropriate supervision of radiology assistant team leader or registered healthcare practitioner.

Main duties of the job

To assist with a patient-centered service within the Neuroradiology department by assisting, escorting, preparing and observing patients before, during and after procedures.

This may involve working in all modalities including MRI, CT and Fluoroscopy.

The post holder will be expected to develop knowledge and skills within the specialty and will assist in the management and delivery of compassionate, high quality patient care. The post holder will ensure that lists run effectively under the instruction of the Radiographers.

The post holder will work as a team with other assistants, healthcare professionals and support the training of student radiographers and volunteers.
