BAND 6 NEONATAL SISTER/CHARGE NURSE

Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity to work within a our Neonatal Unit at Russell's Hall Hospital, with additional opportunities to rotate to our adult critical care unit and theatres.

We are looking for registered nurses or midwives to join our innovative, compassionate and family focused neonatal team. If you like a challenge and are passionate about developing neonatal practice this is the post for you.  The successful applicant will be qualified in specialty with experience in providing high quality care for intensive care, high dependency and special care babies and their families.

We are looking for a highly motivated nurse who can develop their managerial skills, supporting junior colleagues and the multi –disciplinary team in decision making and planning. Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive service improvements are essential.

The neonatal unit at Russell's Hall Hospital comprises of 3 intensive care, 2 high dependency, 13 special care and 4 transitional care cots.

This is an exciting time to join  neonatal services at the Dudley Group  where the experience of our staff, babies and families are at the centre of our care.

Main duties of the job

As part of the neonatal nursing team, you will be responsible for the assessment and delivery of care to sick and preterm babies. You will work in collaboration with parents and carers to promote healthy family bonding, parent and baby relationships.  Within the role you will be supported by the clinical Band 7 team to manage the day to day running of the unit and develop your own leadership and managerial skills. A desire to contribute to a supportive learning environment is imperative.
