The Neonatal Service at Macclesfield District General Hospital aims to provide a high quality, safe, family integrated care, which meets the holistic needs of infants and their families.

We are looking for a Band 6 Nurse/Midwife to work on our 8 cot Neonatal Unit where we provide individualised care, delivering special/high dependency care and short term intensive care for sick and preterm newborns over 32 weeks gestation.
We also work in collaboration with the Maternity staff to care for babies requiring Transitional care on our Maternity ward.
The Neonatal Unit is integral to the Maternity Unit which delivers approx 1500 babies per year and is part of the pro-active Cheshire and Mersey Operational Delivery Network.
To be successful, you will possess excellent organizational, communication and team working skills, and the ability to deliver high quality holistic care with an emphasis on working in partnership with children and their families.
The successful candidate will work as shift lead supporting the band 5 Nurse/Midwife on shift and participate in shifts over a 24hr rota.
Essential qualifications:
Registered Nurse or Midwife
QIS (Qualified in Speciality)
Mentor Assessor
