The Welsh Neuropsychiatry Service is offering an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Professional Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team in delivering recovery focused rehabilitation programmes to people who have complex physical, cognitive, psychological needs and behaviours that challenge following brain injury.
The post-holder will be part of an established MDT that is going through a period of exciting change and transformation. There is emphasis on person centred, multi-professional working to meet the needs of the client. The successful candidate will support the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology and Nursing teams to deliver specialist rehabilitation as part of a tertiary service. There will be opportunities to work under the supervision of a registered therapist or nurse, working across the neuropsychiatry patient pathway which includes inpatient and community settings.
The post will be based on Ash Ward or Ash Day Unit, Hafan y Coed, University Hospital Llandough.

Previous experience of working with people who have complex physical, cognitive and psychological needs is desirable.
The post holder will have support in running individual and group activities within inpatient, day service and community settings. The role supports the promotion of self care, productive and leisure occupations, physical wellbeing and communication skills using person centred, enablement and Recovery approaches to facilitate optimal function and timely discharge.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
