Job overview

Are you a skilled MRI radiographer looking to make a big impact? We are looking for experienced and hardworking staff to support our brand new state of the art Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Milford, Surrey.

The CDC is part of Royal Surrey’s continuing investment in its diagnostic capabilities and follows refurbishment of the Trust’s interventional suite, MRI and X-ray facilities.

The role will be rotational between the new CDC and our busy District General Hospital in Guildford, which boasts a leading Cancer Centre and a minimal invasive Cardiac Unit offering both Cardiac MRI and CT.

Our band 6 rotation will be between the two MRI departments. At the CDC we have 2 brand new Siemens Magneton MRI scanners (3T Vida and 1.5T Sola) as well as a brand new GE Ascend CT scanner. At The Royal Surrey site, we have just completed our new department refurbishment and installed Philips 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners.

Previous cardiac and 3T experience is preferred. Patient safety is our priority and applicants will be expected to demonstrate a sound knowledge of MRI safety and physics. We cover a very wide portfolio of scans from paediatrics and cardiac, small bowel imaging through to MSK. We do our own protocolling of patient forms and also request and report our own IOFB X-rays
