Are you looking for a new challenge? Wye Valley NHS Trust are seeking enthusiastic, dynamic Radiographers to join our leadership team in MRI, this post will include rotation between our new Community Diagnostic Centre  and Hereford County Hospital and will help further develop out MRI service across Herefordshire. This is a new post and will work closely with the MRI Operational Lead Radiographer.

The Community Diagnostic Centre will incorporate Imaging (Plain X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI), a range of cardiorespiratory investigations including echocardiography, ECG and rhythm monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry, FeNO, lung function tests, simple field tests, sleep investigations, oximetry, blood gas analysis and pathology services in a "one stop" location to obtain diagnostic information in cancer, cardiac, respiratory, musculo-skeletal and other conditions.  For more information about the CDC visit: Community Diagnostic Centre

Our MRI department at the County site underwent redesign in 2020 and we have 2 Philips Ingenia MRI scanners on the acute site with a further Philips   We can offer flexible shift patterns to support our 7 day working.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will be expected to have B.Sc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualifications and experience of leadership.  We are looking for staff to support the 7 day working in MRI and will offer flexible approach to working. We are a progressive department and support training, we currently perform a wide variety of MRI examinations and are looking to further develop the service.

The post holder will be expected to produce imaging to the highest standards and offer training and support for diagnostic radiography students from BCU and University of Gloucester and University of Exeter.

They will be required to organise workload in order to provide the best possible patient care and to lead and develop the team of radiographers. They will also be expected to demonstrate and evaluate new ways of working and techniques to facilitate service improvements.
