As an Advanced MRI Radiographer, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality diagnostic service across our modern MRI facilities – including two Siemens 1.5T scanners at the main hospital site and a GE 1.5T Voyager at our Community Diagnostic Centre. With a new state-of-the-art Imaging Scanning Centre opening in 2026, this is an exciting time to be part of our growing service.
You’ll carry out a wide range of MRI examinations, including neuro, musculoskeletal, angiography, and dynamic studies, while ensuring the highest clinical standards and excellent patient care. The role also includes participation in the on-call rota for spinal emergencies.

To be responsible for the organisation of workload and supervision of junior staff for MRI, providing on-going tuition for junior staff as required.
To ensure that the department delivers a high-quality patient experience.
To ensure the safety of all patients, staff and visitors to the department.
To liaise with the other modalities within the department to ensure that room utilisation is maximised and to prioritise patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality between different areas within the department and trust.
