Mortuary Services Manager Band 8a

37.5 Hrs per Week

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead our Mortuary team. This post will be based at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel. The post holder will be required to Lead and assist in all aspects of Mortuary Services including post mortem provision for adults, perinatal/paediatric cases and care of the deceased.

You will lead and assist on behalf of the Mortuary with Porters competency training/ Hospital medical staff inductions and attend Trust meetings with our service users.  Potential applicants should pay particular attention to the Job Description and Person Specification for this post to ensure meeting the respective criteria.

Main duties of the job

The mortuary service at Barts Health comprise of one mortuary facility based at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.

The Cellular Pathology and Cancer Diagnostics Division provides diagnostic and screening services for North East London. Our facilities are close to underground and DLR services.  The Mortuary service performs approximately 200 post mortems Per annum and is regional referral centre for perinatal cases.  The Mortuary is HTA accredited.  Our commitment to supporting continuing professional development is evidenced by an excellent training record.
