12 months Fixed-Term opportunity, Band 3 Annexe 21

We are recruiting a Modern Apprentice to join our Corporate Services Directorate Team, based at Carseview House in Stirling. This is an entry level post and no previous experience of working in administration is required. We welcome applications from all interested candidates and encourage applications from those leaving education this year.

You will work alongside the Operational Business Support Team supporting the Strategic Planning and Performance team and also support the Acting Director of this team and on occasion other senior colleagues as required.

A comprehensive list of all duties and responsibilities is given in the information pack at the end of this advert and your training will include:

  • Administrative tasks which include frequent use of Microsoft Office Packages
  • Data Entry in departmental databases and Systems and MS Excel
  • General office correspondence, scanning and archiving documents
  • Diary Management, scheduling Meetings and attending meetings where required
  • Helping to maintain confidential employee records

Who can apply for this Apprenticeship?

  • you must be aged between 16 to 24 years old on September 1st, 2026, (or up to 29 years for Disabled or Care Experienced applicants*)
  • you must have at least two National 5 qualifications (one must be English/ESOL), and a National 4/ SCQF Level 4 in a Maths subject OR other relevant SCQF Level 5 qualifications including Foundation Apprenticeships and NPA’s.   • As you will be working towards achieving a SVQ 2 (SCQF Level 5) in Business and Administration we are unable to consider candidates who have already completed this qualification in Business Administration at this level or above.
  • In order to meet eligibility criteria for Apprenticeships applicants must be a Scottish residents with the right to live and work in the UK**

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
