The Welsh Ambulance Service is currently looking to employ a Mental Health Adviser - Practice Development in Substance Misuse(band 7) to deliver high-quality care for people who call 999 in crisis.
Reporting to the Specialist Clinical Lead for Mental Health, You will be required to working independently and autonomously. You will have recent experience as Band 6 (or above) nurse or social worker with the ability to effectively manage the day to day operational and professional issues within an emergency, unscheduled care, and telephone triage setting.
You must have excellent organisational and leadership skills, have experience delivering small scale improvement projects, effectively communicate at all levels, problem-solve under pressure, and be flexible approach to work and adaptable. With the ability to inspire others, you will also demonstrate you are forward-thinking, imaginative and have a collaborative approach to your work.
An induction program will be offered depending on experience, mainly within office hours (including telephone triage training) and may include travelling to alternative sites.
This role may involve some weekends, bank holidays, and other unsocial hours.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
