The postholder will also be responsible for handling telephone and other communications with sensitivity and confidentiality using personal judgement and acquired knowledge to assess each situation and to deal with accordingly. The postholder will need to ensure that systems are in place to deliver a high standard of communication to build and maintain good working relationships.ng to the specialty team, delegating as appropriate.

The postholder will plan and organise own time. The job will involve job prioritisation of work for others which will involve resolving conflicting diary appointments and schedules.

The postholder will liaise with the medical team and appointments department to arrange, cancel or alter clinical commitments to contribute to the smooth running of the department ensuring that patient’s notes are requested and provided in a timely manner.
