Part-time – 20 hours per week

Band 3 - Salary Range £29,103 - £31,409 per annum (pro rata)

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,578 per annum (pro rata)

Are you looking for a new challenge or curious to try a career in Healthcare Sciences. The Laboratory at the Gilbert Bain Hospital is looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our busy specimen reception team. You will need either science based higher grades (or equivalent), or National 5 grades (or equivalent) and laboratory based training up to a competency level equivalent to SVQ3 level. Effective written and verbal communication skills, numeracy and an interest in developing your knowledge are also essential. An eye for detail and the ability to work as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment are key to succeeding in this role.
