This one-year fixed term post supports provision of education for postgraduate and undergraduate clinical trainees with an emphasis on simulation/Technology Enhanced Learning - TEL and clinical skills for medical trainees. It is a unique opportunity for a trainee with an interest in education to develop a high-level of capability working in the field of simulation and inter-professional training. The successful applicant will require commitment and enthusiasm, leadership qualities and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The post is aimed at those who wish to build on prior experience of medical educational with an opportunity to develop expertise in educational theory, practice, and supervised research.
The post would typically suit clinicians in the early stages of specialist training. Applicants who have at least three years post foundation training are welcome to apply but all applicants must have completed UK base NHS Foundation Training and be currently or recently employed in the UK system. The post will suit an individual who has an interest in medical education / educational research.
Role supports provision of education through simulation and technology enhanced learning and integration of the Trust's educational programs. Simulation Fellows are key to our team, and the successful applicant will spend at least 80% of their time working within GAPS designing, developing, delivering and evaluating educational and training programs.
