An opportunity has arisen  for an experienced Medical Device Safety Officer to work closely with Corporate Nursing, Medical Engineering and the Divisional teams  to provide expert advice and support  in relation to the Trust  processes ,policies ,competencies  and training for Medical Devices. Applications welcome from registered nursing, midwifery, allied health professional staff in addition to those that have come through other roles.

The MDSO is a key role in promoting and improving the safe use of medical devices in the Trust, including medical device training competence and reporting as well as learning from medical device related incidents. This role  is a fixed term consultation role to provide expert advice in relation to the Trust  processes ,policies ,competencies  and training for Medical Devices.

Provide authoritative and reliable expert advice in supporting healthcare staff in the safe use of  medical devices.

Provide authoritative and reliable expert advice in supporting the Trust in relation to Trust policy and process for Medial devices.
