Job overview

An interesting and unique opportunity has arisen for either an individual seeking career development within the Trust, or for an individual with suitable demonstrable skills.

A new position of cystic fibrosis MDT coordinator within a cohesive MDT has been developed.  The team work closely together to deliver excellent and continually improving long-term care to people with cystic fibrosis across Humber and North Yorkshire.  There is a focus in the team on individual and team development with regular timeouts and other activities.

We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication and organisational skills.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in their work, possess personal attributes of empathy, compassion and respect, be able to demonstrate resilience and have an ability to work with people at all levels across the Trust.

If you are applying for this role on a secondment basis you must seek approval from your line manager before applying.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities are:

  • To develop, support and co-ordinate CF centre meetings, clinics and other activities, ensuring that they are as effective as possible.
  • To ensure that the CF centre physical and electronic spaces are kept tidy and support the effective working of the CF MDT.
  • To support good relationships and communication between the CF centre and stakeholders including people with CF, their families, operational and clinical colleagues and with other departments both within and outside of this NHS trust.
  • Supporting the smooth running of the MDT, particularly ensuring that CF centre physical and virtual/digital facilities are organised and ready for use at all times, is the priority of this role.

This requires the post-holder to demonstrate an ability to work under their own initiative with an element of autonomy.
