Main duties of the job

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a forward thinking experienced individual whom will provide professional advice and support to speciality teams and service line colleagues ensuring delivery of the highest quality of patient care and service delivery.

You  will have a high level of autonomy and will work in a self-directed way within the parameters set for the post.

Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential in this role as well as experience of creating successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and in the management of Human Resources.

The successful applicant must have high-level people management skills, including decision-making, negotiating, influencing and persuading skills.  The post holder will provide a highly visible, accessible and authoritative presence and be available to patients, families and staff to provide assistance, advice and support and address any concerns as required.

The successful individual will contribute to the strategic direction of the service and specialities through meeting key performance indicators and national and local activity targets.
