An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking Management Support Administrator supporting the GYW locality senior leadership team based at Northgate Hospital.   The team manages and oversees clinical services that are provided by the Great Yarmouth and Waveney Locality,  supporting service users and their families and carers with their Mental Health.  This includes both outpatient community services and inpatient beds with facilities in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Carlton Colville and Lowestoft.

The successful applicant will work closely with other experienced administrators in an established team.  You should be able to prioritise your work effectively, be forward thinking and have excellent communication skills.  The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.  Experience of working within the NHS is advantageous but full training will be given.

You will need to be able to demonstrate the strength of your communication, prioritisation, and administration skills. You will be able to evidence a flexible response to service needs and the ability to think creatively. Experience of working to deadlines, on your own initiative and maintaining strict confidentiality are also essential.

Main duties of the job

This role will predominantly support the Locality Senior Leadership Team with administrative support, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of services; however, responsibilities may change dependent on service need.

Key responsibilities include undertaking a wide range of general administrative tasks, such as:

  • Accurate and timely input of data into Trust electronic systems
  • Maintaining paper and electronic records
  • Diary management
  • Minuting meetings
  • Supporting recruitment processes
  • Oracle
  • Liaising with internal teams and external agencies as required
  • Contribute to effective communication by liaising with internal and external parties and agencies as required on behalf of the team
  • Attend relevant internal and external meetings to provide necessary administrative support

The post holder will be expected to maintain a high standard of customer service at all times, demonstrating professionalism, dignity, and respect in all interactions with service users, colleagues, and partner organisations, in line with Trust values and policies.
