Job overview

We are looking for a qualified accountant looking for their first opportunity at a senior level to fill a one year fixed term band 7 management accountant position.

This position will give the successful applicant the chance to test their professional skills and judgement at a high level and will need to quickly and effectively  lead on the financial management for high profile areas of the trust.

Main duties of the job

• Support budget holders on achieving best value for money from resources;•    Provide key transactional support to month end, preparing journals for entry into the financial system;•    Support the Management Accountants with the annual budget setting process;•    To investigate budgetary variances and providing responses to budget holders;•    To manage the flow of monthly pay & non-pay reports to budget-holders and chase for responses;•    To assist in the distribution of appropriate financial information to budget-holders.
