NHS Western Isles is offering a paid placement opportunity within our Estates Team. There is a placement available as a Maintenance Craftworker (Plumber, Electrical or Engineer). The role is ideal for somebody with a background in the above trades. This is an opportunity to be a part of a multi-skilled team within the Estates Department
This position is offered as a fixed-term placement for 6 months. The reason for the fixed-term placement is due to the Armed Forces Talent Programme.
To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service. As part of the pre-employment checks for a preferred candidate, NHS Scotland Boards will check your entitlement to work in the UK. Please note that this post is not eligible for a certificate of sponsorship in line with current Gov.uk guidance. It is ESSENTIAL that you have checked that you either already have an appropriate right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship BEFORE submitting any applications. The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
