- Identify, diagnose and repair faults, and carry out general planned maintenance on electrical services, plant and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, steam‑raising plant, air‑conditioning and ventilation systems, heating systems, water and drainage systems, macerators, catering equipment, hydrotherapy pool systems and ward equipment.
- Undertake both reactive and planned maintenance of a more complex nature within the building engineering services relevant to the post holder’s core electrical skill.
- Complete all mandatory training as required.
- Carry out installations, commissioning and testing of new work associated with the core electrical discipline, and support team members when tasks involve other trades.
- Liaise with clinical staff to coordinate equipment and plant shutdowns and to arrange maintenance activities.
