Main duties of the job
- Undertake unsupervised planned preventative maintenance and minor repair work, not requiring the attention of a fully qualified Technician.
- Assist EBME Technicians in maintenance, installation, and other such tasks as required helping the department reach its objectives.
- To provide cover in the Medical Equipment Loan store in times of absence.
- Completion of all report forms, logs and other such statutory recording procedures.
- Use of range of test equipment and hand tools appropriate to the duties of the post.
- Decontamination of equipment.
- Electrical safety testing, and recording results on the EBME database.
- Waste removal and general labouring duties.
- Driving duties, collection and delivery of equipment etc. in Trust vehicles.
- Maintaining and testing of low risk ward based medical equipment
- To maintain and update the dept inventory records
- To maintain stock levels and raise requisitions to support replenishment of stock

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Be aware of and adhere to the Department & Trust’s Health, Safety and Risk Management policies and procedures.
- Take reasonable care of own Health & Safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
- Undertake CPR training.
- Participate in personal immunisation protection plan.
- Perform role of Safety Man, as required.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Undertake new training as required to meet statutory requirements and needs of the service.
- Undertake refresher training as required by relevant regulations to ensure service provision.
