Job summary

Main duties of the job

The candidate will need to be able demonstrate a passion for developing people to meet the service needs; to be able to confidently deliver an established educational programme, lead/support educational discussion, planning across the training calendar, prep the sessions and liase with the Training and development department. Be able to support learners in their current practice and be flexible to enact new ways of working/learning and embedding practice.

Support the Palliative Care Consultants across CDDFT, the wider workforce and stakeholders.

You must also be able to work on your own initiative, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication, give and receive feedback constructively, skilled in facilitation and organisation.

Lead by action and inspire others acting as a role model.

Job responsibilities

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
