We have an exciting opportunity in our Cancer Business Unit within our Haematology department as a Clinical Nurse Specialist supporting our Lymphoma patient pathway

You will be joining an established team of dynamic  CNS's . You will be part of a team that deliver specialist nursing  whilst maintaining and developing a quality service. You will act as the patient’s advocate maintaining privacy and dignity, and provide advice and support to junior staff and learners in all aspects of the delivery of high  quality care.

This role will also provide support, advice and education to patients/ significant others in the management of their care.

Main duties of the job

Substantial nursing experience in Haematology or/and oncology nursing at band 6/7 is preferable.  Any practical skills like non medical prescribing, bone marrow biopsies and blood transfusion prescribing would be preferred. You will need to be flexible, reliable and patient focused. You will work closely with the consultant team in delivering patient centred care.

There might be a requirement to work between both Derby and Burton sites, however theses posts are predominately RDH (Royal Derby Hospital) based.
