We are looking to recruit experienced and innovative nurses to join the Specialist Lymphoedema Service in a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist role. This new opportunity has arisen as we move through an exciting period of development and redesign. You must be able to demonstrate excellence in clinical practice, an ability to act as a resource for information and education and have a collaborative approach to working with other services.

You should be educated to degree level or equivalent. Demonstrable experience of Lymphoedema and/or Tissue Viability is beneficial. A non-medical prescribing qualification (V150) is also desirable but not essential as it can be worked towards if you are successful at interview.

Main duties of the job

Provision of care for patients with lymphoedema/other related oedema across the Organisation and other community settings under the supervision of the Clinical Team Leader utilising evidence-based practice.

The post holder will under the direction of the Clinical Team Leader hold responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients with lymphoedema/other related oedema demonstrating evidence based/best practice referred into the service.At the request of the Clinical Team Leader undertake first assessment of patients with mild to moderate oedema/lymphoedema.

At the request of the Clinical Team Leader, the post holder will deliver care supporting the principles aligned to the Four Cornerstones of Lymphoedema Care.
