We are looking to recruit experienced and innovative nurses to join the Specialist Lymphoedema Service in a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist role. This new opportunity has arisen as we move through an exciting period of development and redesign. This Specialist service is a well-respected clinical area where there is potential for growth and development for the right individual.
Enthusiasm, motivation, and a desire for personal development are essential qualities required in this role; you will be expected to have a commitment to working progressively within the field of specialist Lymphoedema and we will support you in this through education and training opportunities.
You must be able to demonstrate excellence in clinical practice, an ability to act as a resource for information and education and have a collaborative approach to working with other services.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent. Demonstrable experience of Lymphoedema and/or Tissue Viability is beneficial. A non-medical prescribing qualification (V150) is also desirable but not essential as it can be worked towards if you are successful at interview.

Provision of care for patients with lymphoedema/other related oedema across the Organisation and other community settings under the supervision of the Clinical Team Leader utilising evidence-based practice.
The post holder will under the direction of the Clinical Team Leader hold responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients with lymphoedema/other related oedema demonstrating evidence based/best practice referred into the service.At the request of the Clinical Team Leader undertake first assessment of patients with mild to moderate oedema/lymphoedema.
At the request of the Clinical Team Leader, the post holder will deliver care supporting the principles aligned to the Four Cornerstones of Lymphoedema Care.
The dexterity and co-ordination required for the manipulation of tools required in practice.
