COLDSTREAM MEDICAL PRACTICE

5-session Maternity locum cover (starting mid-February until mid-October 2026)

About us (the interesting stuff)

We are a friendly, supportive and social GP Practice who believe in the importance of strong primary care for our community.

We are an optimistic bunch embracing new ways of working whilst keeping the traditional ways of general practice alive. We offer a mix of on-the-day triage and pre-bookable appointments, via 15-minute consultations.

We pride ourselves on our relaxed, fun, cohesive working environment, and this is reflected in an excellent work-life balance.

We in the Scottish Borders, right on the border with Northumberland, in an area that offers a great quality of life with excellent road links to Edinburgh and Newcastle.

About us (the boring stuff)

We have a list size of approximately 4,000 patients with a high proportion of elderly patients. We are a cross border practice with a 1/3rd of our patients residing in Northumberland.

We are a 3 GP Partner practice; our practice team consists of 2 Salaried GP’s, 2 Practice Nurses, a Nursing Assistant and our admin team. The wider primary care team includes District Nurses, Health Visitor, Treatment Room Nurse, Prescribing Support Pharmacist, Technician, First Contact Physiotherapist, Physiotherapist and a Well Being Adviser.

We are a training practice for GPST’s, as well as Edinburgh Uni Medical Students.

About you (the are we compatible stuff)

Do you want to be able to leave the practice at 6pm most evenings?
